The 1975 dominate this year’s Brit Awards
Only Matty Healy would still wear the bunny hat even at the Brits.
Last night saw the Brit Awards take over London’s O2 Arena, were we there? No. Are we salty? Maybe. Either way, your Friday night headliners, The 1975, took home the recognition they deserve.
Stepping up to the podium to collect the award for British Group and British Album of the Year for ‘A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships’. Matty Healy used the platform to address male misogyny within the industry.
Male misogynist acts are examined for nuance and examined at traits of difficult artists while women and those who call them out are treated as hysterics who don’t understand art.
They then went on to smash a performance of ‘Sincerity Is Scary’, if you thought they wouldn’t bring their treadmill with them, you were wrong.
Wondering what they have in store for Reading? Unofficial fifth member, Jamie Oborne teased it’s going to be everything you’ve seen on their arena tour… AND MORE.
Want to be down the front to witness The 1975 in all their glory? You better make sure your tickets are in your bag.
