Slowthai falls through a hole in his bed and more you need to see this week

After a weekend of sunshine, it must mean that Reading is right around the corner… right? There’s no sign of a Beast from the East here, just the impending fun times in the sunshine with your best mates.

Get your ears around these new releases from this year’s line up, this is all the good sh*t you need in your life. We’ve done the deed of filtering out anything that doesn’t matter. We’re THAT good to you.

‘Time Won’t Change Me’ – Circa Waves

There must be something in the water because Circa Waves are just putting out banger after banger. The stomping new song is taken from their forthcoming third album, ‘What’s It Like Over There?’ which lands on April 5th.

‘Little Smart Houses’ – Sundara Karma

Reading-natives Sundara Karma just dropped one of the tracks of the summer, we’d go as far as saying dancing to them is the best form of self-care. We can’t wait to hear what’s next from them after this spicy new song.

‘Till Dawn’ – Andy C

Props to Andy C for delivering time and time again, the early drop in this nearly blew our tiny minds. Chuck a bit jazz, a hint of techy sounds and a pinch of rave into a pan and you’ll end up with something like this, or a mess, we’re not sure which.

‘Peace of Mind’ – slowthai

And the award for best visuals this week 100% go to slowthai. ‘Peace of Mind’ see the rapper being sucked through a hole in his bed and transported to various scenarios. If we could also pretend to fly through the sky while hanging on a wire that’d be great.

‘Drip or Drown 2’ – Gunna

You can always count on Gunna to come through with a track that drips. Speaking about the 16-track release he said, “It’s me. It’s a project that’s a lot of me, not a lot of features. I’ve been working on it for a while, so I got a lot of hits on there. Like hits, not just a one, two, three thing. Hits.”

‘11 Minutes’ – YUNGBLUD

Yeah, we’ve all already heard the jokes that it’s not as long as the title suggests. ‘11 Minutes’ really showcases YUNGBLUD’s vocal wit. Talking about the track he said it, “tells the story of perfect tragedy that reflects modern love within our society.”

Don’t be that one friend who’s sitting on the sofa this bank holiday weekend. Do the right thing and book your tickets to this year’s Reading Fest – it’s going to be a good one.
