Dua Lipa and Kendrick scoop up BRIT Awards
If you missed out on last night’s BRITs, we’re here to tell you the most important bits.
Dua Lipa said it how it is
Last night was a huge night for Dua Lipa, seeing her take home two awards for Female Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act.
During her first acceptance speech Dua said:
I want to thank every single female that has been on this stage before me and has given girls like me a place to be inspired by and [someone to] look up to and allow us to dream. Here’s to more women on these stages, winning these awards and taking over the world.
Before stepping out on stage and wowing the crowd with ‘New Rules’.
Kendrick Lamar presented a satire
After picking up the award for International Male Solo Artist, Kung Fu Kenny mounted a perspex box to deliver ‘FEEL’ and ‘New Freezer’. His strong lyrics focusing on oppression, not going unnoticed by the live audience.
