10. Kendrick Lamar – King Kunta
Kicking off this week’s countdown we’ve got one of the hottest MC’s in the game Kendrick Lamar brought his banging tunes to the R&L stage for the first time in 2015, before returning as a headliner 3 years later.
9. Mumford & Sons – Little Lion Man
Folk rock icons Mumfords & Sons last R&L appearance was their unforgettable headline performance in 2015. You’re lying if you say you don’t sing along to this banger!
8. Metallica – Enter Sandman
Arguably the biggest band in the world, Metallica brought their explosive live show to the headline spot in 2015. With 30+ years of metal goodness it was hard to pick just one classic!
7. Panic! At The Disco – Death of a Bachelor
With 5 appearances over the last 15 years it’s safe to call Brendon Urie a R&L veteran. It really is impressive that with each performance they have a new set of amazing songs to blow us away with!
6. Bring Me The Horizon – Throne
Another frequent performer is Sheffield’s finest BMTH! With their ever-evolving sound you never know what to expect from a Bring Me show, but one thing is for certain, it’s going to be incredible!
5. Bastille – Pompeii
2015 was a great year for Bastille with them receiving a Grammy nomination as well as making their debut on the R&L main stage. With this catchy mega-hit in their catalogue it’s not hard to see why!
4. alt-J – Breezeblocks
Speaking of catchy songs here’s an infectious indie classic from the boys in alt-J. They brought their totally unique sound to the main stage in 2015 and we can’t wait to see them back one day!
3. Stormzy – Shut Up
It’s crazy to think that just 5 years ago Stormzy was playing on the 6th stage at R&L! Going from that to headliner in half a decade really is an unbelievable rise, can’t say he doesn’t deserve it though!
2. Catfish and the Bottlemen – Kathleen
Indie rock might be the most iconic R&L genre there is and it’s arguable that no one does it better than Catfish and the Bottlemen! But it was hard not to include this platinum single from their 2014 album ‘The Balcony’.
1. American Football – Never Meant
Emo/math rock legends American Football played R&L for the time in 2015 after reforming in 2014. Never Meant is the Midwest Emo’s most iconic song and is perfect for when you’re lying in bed thinking about summer time.
