There’s a nice buzz around the Festival Republic Stage despite the early time slot on a Friday and much of it is to do with hotly-tipped Leicester five piece, Easy Life. They have been compared to everyone from Jamie T to The ‪Beastie Boys‬ and featured on lots of publications “Ones To Watch” lists.

Straight from the off it is easy to see why as before they even come on the band is greeted with a Mexican Wave from the assembled masses and a chant of “Easy, Easy, Easy F******* Life.”

Rather than take it easy however, the band launch in to a jazzy opener bringing the crowd to life.

The chilled jazz meets indie meets pop vibe is the ideal way to kick the weekend off and I’m sure we’ll be hearing more from this young band in festivals to come. A strong debut from the Leicester lads.
